The Bergen County Academies (BCA), is a free public magnet high school of choice for Bergen County residents located on the Dr. John Grieco Campus in Hackensack, New Jersey. The school offers seven specialized programs in the areas of mathematics and science, engineering and design, medical science, business and finance, culinary arts and hospitality administration, visual and performing arts, and technology and computer science.
The Bergen County Academies in Hackensack, New Jersey was among the 285 public and 50 private schools nationwide to be recognized as 2015 National Blue Ribbon Schools. Bergen County Technical Schools Superintendent Dr. Howard Lerner, BCA Principal Mr. Russell Davis, and Mr. William Pavlu represented the school at a gala ceremony in Washington, D.C on November 9 and 10, 2015. Bergen County Academies was awarded Blue Ribbon status in the category of Exemplary High Performing Schools, a designation that acknowledges BCA as one of New Jersey’s highest performing schools as measured by state assessments or nationally normed tests, student performance, and high school graduation rates.
