Project Ignition top tenParamus students among Project Ignition Top TenMs. Waller accompanied 7 students to the 20th Annual Service Learning Conference in Nashville from 3/18 to 3/21 based upon their Top Ten finish in Project Ignition. Project Ignition is a nationwide safe driving ad campaign sponsored by the National Youth Leadership Council and State Farm Insurance. Students set up a display booth in "Ignitionland" and presented at a workshop. The name of the students entry was M.E.T.A.L. (Make Every Teen A Listener). Students staged a Zombie Walk and Freeze Flash Mob, walked in the Greenwich Village Halloween Parade and distributed posters to 96 high schools in all 21 New Jersey counties. They also corresponded with the college presidents who signed the Amethyst Initiative, a movement to lower the drinking age to 18. Published On: 3/26/2009 3:40:44 PM |
