State Assemblywoman Holly Schepisi came to speak to the 9th and 10th graders of Applied Technology High School about the New Jersey state government, civics, and her life experiences. Assemblywoman Schepisi told her motivational story of how she became a successful lawyer and politician, although she “never had any desire to go into public office.”
She shared her life experiences from working as a shrimp deveiner, to working as a corporate Mergers and Acquisitions lawyer, to her current job as an attorney and State Assemblywoman. Schepisi openly told the students about her life challenges as well, and discussed the importance of being resilient and moving forward when faced with obstacles. assembly1
