On Friday 10/19/18 the 11th-grade law students scheduled interviews with players, policymakers and stakeholders on the societal issue they are researching for the SUPA Public Policy course. The students had the opportunity to speak with judges, lawyers, assistant prosecutors, police officers, leaders of non-profits and for-profit organizations regarding their issues. Some of the students are exploring the societal problems of domestic violence in teenage relationships, high levels of lead in the water supply in local schools, and the dangers of vaping especially for teenagers, just to name a few issues that were explored. The Bergen County Bar Association was kind enough to allow the students to use their two conference rooms to conduct some of the interviews and during lunch, the President of the Bergen County Bar Association came and spoke to the students about the challenges and the joys of being a lawyer.
